Will Clark
Founder & Director, Clark Strategic

Will brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience in sustainability, combining hands-on delivery in healthcare with international leadership, policy influence and organisational strategy.

He spent ten years as a sustainability director in the NHS, developing the multi award-winning Care Without Carbon programme. He subsequently served for six years as Executive Director of Health Care Without Harm Europe, spearheading sector-wide initiatives and international collaboration to advance sustainable healthcare.

His experience spans driving change within hospitals, influencing healthcare leaders, and working with national governments, the World Health Organization and partners across the health sector. This gives him a broad understanding of how change happens - from operational decisions and organisational culture to national policy and international action.

Will has extensive experience engaging executive boards and senior leadership teams, helping them understand the strategic implications of sustainability, navigate competing priorities and establish clear direction. Having held senior leadership responsibilities himself, he understands the challenge of connecting long-term ambition with resources, accountability and delivery.

He founded Clark Strategic in 2024 to help close the gap between sustainability ambition and organisational action in healthcare. Its mission is simple: to accelerate the transition to sustainable, resilient healthcare.
